Ichneumonid - Compsocryptus - female

Ichneumonid - Compsocryptus - Female
Red Rock Canyon State Park, Kern County, California, USA
May 3, 2010
Size: ~13mm without ovipositor
Found in Stanleya pinnata, though unlike the Pepsis wasps she wasn't nectaring. Rather, she seemed to be searching for a host; behavior was the same on all plants she visited.
Superficially resembles Acrotaphus, though perhaps only due to the wing markings. Maybe something in the tribe Pimplini, i.e. something near Theronia?
Someone who knows this group of insects may recognize it.

Or maybe
Cryptini Lanugo/Compsocryptus. I think yours may be Compsocryptus
