Resting in a tree during the heat of the day. This was a free-flying individual, and not a captive.

Scott Nelson, in comments below, points out that this is a male. Many thanks--these scent scale patches are really obvious now that I have them shown to me.

Gender Differences
This is a nice photo of a male. The hind wings have the black scent (pheremone) receptors which are not present on the female.
