Size: ~ 13 mm
Found under the bark of a rotting tree. My best guess is Homaeotarsus.

looks good...they have big heads in relation to the pronota, and the long curved mandibles...Brunke will know for sure.

Homaeotarsus, I think this is a good match for 'badius', though the genus is unrevised and I don't know if its a good species or not.
