Is it possible to find out what insect deposited these eggs on our Oregon Grape (before they hatch). Photo taken today 12-20-05

It's a....
Well, I have to create a little suspense:-) They are unmistakably the eggs of an angularwing katydid, genus Microcentrum. They will be very cute babies:-) Congratulations!

WoW!. Thank you so much. I didn't think anyone in the world would know what they are. When do you think they'll hatch? Is there a way for me to protect them from birds.
