Spider maybe? - Arilus cristatus

Spider maybe? - Arilus cristatus
Conroe/ Cleveland, Montgomery County, Texas, USA
May 12, 2010
This is really creepy looking. I can't tell if it's a spider or not, being I can only see 6 legs. It follows me as I take it's picture and turns to look at me. There are others in my yard, mainly by the wood and spruce trees I have by my front door. It's black and orange. The tail turns up like a scorpion. It's small, about the size of a dime.
