Darkling Beetle? - Amphasia interstitialis

Darkling Beetle? - Amphasia interstitialis
Barkhamsted, Litchfield County, Connecticut, USA
Can't find this anywhere. Would it be proper to just call it a Darkling Beetle species? Do not remember size, maybe half inch to 3/4.

Carabidae
This specimen is almost certainly Amphasia interstitialis (Say). I have collected this species all months of the year under rocks, logs, leaf litter, etc. Hope this helps.

Ground Beetle
One of the Carabids. We have a few photos very similar to yours on this site, but I don't think any of them have been ID'ed beyond family. In fact, one of them is mine:

I hope this helps!

Ground Beetle
That is the closest photo that I have seen. And I went through all the beetles on this site. Don't know how I missed this photo. Thanks, it helped a lot.
