Synonyms and other taxonomic changes
Fissicrambus Bleszynski, 1963(1)
Identification
Bleszynski (1963)(1) remarked about this genus: "Externally nearly all the species of this genus are practically indistinguishable from each other, being sometimes distinct only on size. The study of this genus is only provisional, many questions are still unsolved." The examples of each species selected below cannot show the overlapping variation within and between species, so caution is advised in all species placements.

Remarks
"This is a tough group with lots of room for error in ID'ing. There is a tremendous difference between fresh, typically worn and very worn specimens." Bob Patterson
