Pseudomethoca simillima - female

Pseudomethoca simillima - Female
Franklin Parker Preserve, Woodland Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
May 8, 2010
I think that it was found sweeping low grass and leaf litter. All of the images were shot with the bug inside an old container. Is an ID possible? Pseudomethoca simillima was my guess but it is the first velvet ant I've ever seen so I may be way off.
