Identification
large laterally-projecting spine at humeral angle; tibiae typically tricolored: brown at the "knee", pale in the middle, and reddish apically
Range
Reported from Maine, New Hampshire, Ontario, Quebec.
Introduced from Europe where it is common and widespread.
Food
nymphs and adults prey on caterpillars, especially webworms and tent caterpillars (1)
