Shield bug on NC bladdernut - Banasa dimidiata

Shield bug on NC bladdernut - Banasa dimidiata
Eno River State Park, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
April 4, 2010
The Staphylia trifolia (Bladdernut) small tree hanging over the river was blooming and just leafing out. I only spotted one of these well disguised shield/stink bugs. Anyone know ID/sex of this Hemipteran with red segmented antennae, red eyes?

Moved from ID Request.

Thank you, John
Thank you for frassing the unnecessary ones, too. I agree with your sentiments on frassing! Susan
