Darner? - Rhionaeschna multicolor

Darner? - Rhionaeschna multicolor
Hermiston, Umatilla County, Oregon, USA
July 1, 2009
Found in my back yard, they look like they could be male and female of the same species/genus.

Moved
Moved from Darners.

Both Blue-eyed
These are both certainly Blue-eyed Darner (Rhionaeschna multicolor)--female above, male below.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.
Likely Blue-eyed but I need to check further.

Are they the same.
I'm not sure if they are the same, I did say they looked similar. It's hard to tell from day to day if they are the same exact insects. We had clouds of dragonflies in our back yard last year.

Linking
is reserved for images of the same individual insect. Not same species, not suspected same species, just the same exact bug. I'll unlink them. It would be easier to tell they were from different days if you added the dates!

Dates
Please add dates to all of your submissions.

Is one of these the same insect as in the first image?
