Again, Ectobius lapponicus, which is indeed common in Maine.

Pallid roach
This is actually the introduced pallid roach, Ectobius pallida, found only in the extreme northeast U.S.

V J Hickey: I agree, and have sent the info to U Maine Ext Serv. Nice image on a Finnish website. I would think that having been found in Maine,it is present in many Atlantic states with sea&air ports. Found refs. to the Tawny Cockroach, and the Spotted Mediterranean Cockroach. Thanks, Eric.
