Golden Dung Fly - Scathophaga stercoraria

Golden Dung Fly - Scathophaga stercoraria
Mountville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA
December 23, 2005
Size: 8mm
A specimen from my collection. Is this species Scathophaga stercoraria? Collected on dog dung:-)

I agree.
I would concur with that. Nice specimen!

Thanks!
I didn't know how many species there were to confuse it with in that family. It did have all of it's legs, but we had friends over the holidays and right as I was taking it off of my mounting block, someone bumped my arm!
