Solenopsis? - Solenopsis invicta

Size: 3 to 5 mm
These guys were tearing open a gall and hauling the contents away. They look like fire ants to me, but what do I know about ants? The petiole keeps calling me, telling me I have seen it before, but...the memory is fading, fast.
