Milesia virginiensis

Milesia virginiensis
Powhatan County, Virginia, USA
September 15, 2005
Size: 2.1 cm long
IDed through guide. One wing measures 1.5cm from the tip to the base of the wing.

Neat, any more data?
Very interesting to see a specimen of this species. Do you have any more data associated with it, such as:
collection date
length
sex

You have a golden opportunity to add some more hard data to the guide, if you can. So much of what we have here is based on photos in life, where we don't have length or a clear idea on gender. (I don't know how to tell that on syrphids, but it is obvious on some flies.)

Thanks for any additional information. Again, I think it's a great addition to have photos of specimens.
