Moved
Moved from Mesostenus.

The antennae are not banded - Excellent shots!
Did you count his 30 flagellomeres, hint, hint? I'm not sure of the exact range, but it must be very widespread.
Mesostenus gracilis: ♂ What happened to the sighting date? (May 27, 2010)

Not wild
I left the sighting date blank because this was found indoors and could be from moth-infested bird seed.

Moved
Moved from Cryptinae.

Male of M. gracilis?
I found this indoors in the same place as the females you identified as Mesostenus gracilis (but not at the same time). Does the male of the species lack white on antennae?
