Leaf Beetle? - Neolochmaea dilatipennis

Leaf Beetle? - Neolochmaea dilatipennis
Opa Locka, Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA
May 28, 2010
Size: aprox. 10 mm
I'm placing this one here in ID because I may be way off. I think it's a Skeletonizing leaf beetle (Galerucinae), but not 100% sure because I didn't find any satisfactory matches in there. I saw some with stripes but they don't seem to have the right overall body shape. In fact the ones I thought match the body shape were the Water-lily Beetles (Galerucella nymphaeae)but although also similar in color did not have the stripe pattern. Was I close? thanks in advance for ID help.

Neolochmaea
looks like a halfway decent match to me:

Of course, that's only one non-expert's opinion. You'll want to wait for someone who actually knows something about these critters. :)

I believe you got it.
I'll wait for an expert, but this is a decent match indeed. Then add the fact that all other pics are from FL. Thanks.
