Nah, the cow killers are the only ones I watch out for.

maybe the sting isn't too bad with this species, but with some VA's, it's really bad. they are wasps!

 
Yeah, cow killer doesn't make me feel real easy...
...and I did read that they were wasps. In a sense all ants are wasps, but these ones really are!

I don't know about this particular species but others we have here in Oklahoma can definitely put a hurtin' on ya. :-)
