Hairy Flower Scarab - which species? - Trichiotinus piger

Hairy Flower Scarab - which species? - Trichiotinus piger
along Hwy 88 near Praag, Buffalo County, Wisconsin, USA
June 3, 2010
I think this is either T. affinis or T. piger - can anyone help? I found the key on the guide page, but I don't know enough - or maybe my photos aren't good enough - to figure it out.

Cleaning up Trichiotinus
Moved from Trichiotinus.

my vote is for T. piger
but would like a closer look at the elytral punctation.

I added
some larger, re-edited photos. Do they help at all with ID?

I wish I had a better photo..
but this is the best I've got.
