Monochamus Sawyer Beetle - Monochamus scutellatus

Size: 27 mm

The lack of white spots and all black antennae make me think this isn't a Pine Sawyer. Can anyone verify?

Male M. scutellatus

The males have longer all-black antennae and considerably less elytral speckling. (Yours appears to have a little speckling.) Compare:

Longhorn gender differences

Jim, thanks for pointing out some of these differences. When I first checked bugguide pages, I did see these images but did not know that this species was so widespread from East coast to West Coast.
