Silver-spotted Skipper?
Thanks for the tip! That helped me find a similar picture in my Smithsonian Handbook, and it shows the little silver spots near the tips of the wings. So, my guess is Epargyreus clarus? But the handbook doesn't have the silver and brown stripes on the end of edges of the wings.

 
Skippers are tricky,
and I'm not an expert, so consider my ID an educated guess. One of the lepidoptera specialists should be able to confirm or correct it. Stay tuned.

Looks like a Skipper of some kind.
Maybe something in/near Epargyreus:
