Looks like C. virginiensis to me also. I don't know if it will help, but here is a website with a key to FL Chalcophora. You'll find pictures of each species on the page.

C. georgiana
is in FL too; never was good at separating these species from images. Peck and Thomas (1998) only list C. virginiensis from this county, but C. georgiana does seem to occur throughout the state.
