I think this is a cresent, but I can't find an exact match.

It is a Checkerspot that looks so much like a Crescent that it was once classified (incorrectly) with them. It is Chlosyne gorgone, which is fairly common east from the mountains in Colorado. The larvae use mostly Sunflowers as host plants (occasionally Iva and other Composites as well).
