Beetle - Euetheola humilis

Beetle - Euetheola humilis
Powhatan County, Virginia, USA
May 11, 2005
Size: 15mm
Can anyone ID this beetle from my collection? Thanks!

see ..
see here - you should also have the somewhat similar looking Dyscinetus morator in Virginia.

Thanks!
Which one do you think it is. They both look the same to me:-) I can get you a different photo if you want.

it's..
Yours is Euetheola - the differences are subtle. You could shoot a detail of the head and the apical edge of the hind tibia for future help with ID's.

Dyscinetus is VERY close [same tribe] to Cyclocephala, including the males with enlarged apical tarsomere
- just dark.

Thanks!
I'll try to get those photos shortly.
