Robber Fly - Neoitamus flavofemoratus - Female

Photographed in a field near our house. The markings on the legs and abdomen (along with it's habitat) match with the genera Neoitamus as listed on Cedar Creek's site.

Troy, I noticed you had a shot of a similar species as well:

I wonder if the range on this gets as far south as Georgia?

This appears to be Neoitamus flavofemoratus. N. orphne has a black fore femora. Lovely shot. Yes, these reach Georgia.
