Gray Lady Beetle - Anatis labiculata

Gray Lady Beetle - Anatis labiculata
Near Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA
June 14, 2003
It's always so nice to find a ladybug that is not Harmonia axyridis. And nice too to find one that shuns the usual reds and oranges of this Family. Elsewhere in BugGuide is a West Virginia photo of this species where the beetle has turned darker (red) with age:

Very Nice
I think I remember seeing one of these some where at camp a few years ago. Although I mistook it as a pleasing fungus beetle or something similar.
