Probable Black Swallowtail caterpillar -
Papilio polyxenes
suburban Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana, USA
June 19, 2010
Size: 11/8 inch long
I found this caterpillar on a dill plant in my garden. It looks like he has "toenails" up front and fuzzy slippers on the back feet!
