Jumping Spider - Platycryptus undatus

Jumping Spider - Platycryptus undatus
Indiana, USA
June 6, 2004
I found this guy on my porch, having his dinner. He's very pretty, I think. I've not seen one with markings like this before. Is it just a regular jumping spider? I didn't see any similar pics here. Anyway, I thought it was neat, and worth taking a snapshot of. I was greatful; those darn flies have been biting my ankles all week. I hope he has a big appetite!

Jumping Spider
This is Platycryptus undatus. The genus was once known as Metacyrba:-)

Looks like a male...
jumping spider; Platycryba undatus. These are typically found in open woodland on tree bark.
