Stink Bug in January - Banasa euchlora

Stink Bug in January - Banasa euchlora
Cary, Wake County, North Carolina, USA
January 20, 2006
Size: approx. 10mm
Is this a Lygus bug? More importantly, why did it fall out of my lamp in the middle of January? The weather here has been much warmer than normal, but still very weird to see this guy around in the middle of winter.

Banasa euchlora.
This is a specimen of Banasa euchlora. Will move to guide page. One of my favorite pentatomids, like a little piece of living jade:-)

Excellent
Thanks so much Eric.. any idea why it'd be around now?
