Meadow Katydid with issues - Conocephalus fasciatus - Female
Resaca de La Palma, Cameron County, Texas, USA
June 5, 2010
Would have been a nice photo....but this meadow katydid has issues. Looks like there is a mite on the left wing area -- ? which caused the wing to degrade ?

I was mislead by the apparent thick shape of the ovipositor;
however, upon closer examination, this is really a 'Slender Meadow Katydid' - Conocephalus fasciatus.
