Double-banded Carpet Moth - Spargania magnoliata

Double-banded Carpet Moth - Spargania magnoliata
Westwood, Lassen County, California, USA
August 22, 2007
Size: Wingspan 28mm
I only this last month (June 2010) spread the wings of this specimen. I was a bit surprised to see the color of the hindwings. The underside of both the forewings and hindwings are mostly this same dull orangish color.
