Thanks for providing the additional image- that was just what was needed to confirm the identity.

Cockroach.
Reminds me of this Parcoblatta (also pulled from the water):

Don't hold me to the genus, though. I'm not an expert, and could be mistaken. Hold out for a more informed opinion.

Thanks Ken, Looks so different it this condition.

Parcoblatta male, wings nicely spread!
I think that you have Parcoblatta divisa, also known as the Southern wood cockroach. The identity of these cockroaches is verified by looking at the middle of the back, with the wings spread. Your image has some characteristics that are somewhat different than typical members of this species (e.g. color is lighter), but a long soak in water may explain those differences. If you have a higher resolution image, particularly focused in on the mid back, the identification can be made definitively. See this closely related species for the type of close-up image needed for identification:

Is this photo what you want?

Thanks for the confirmation, John.
If you get the chance, maybe you could lend your expertise to this post. I point it out only because the contributor seems doubtful of my ID, and the post itself doesn't scream "cockroach" at a casual glance, and I was afraid you might not see it.

You're good Ken
Your IDs are right on, even with the drowned and squashed specimens. That's how you know you're good!
