Apristus sp.
Impressed elytral striae, metallic lustre, body size, and habitat confirms genus. Syntomus is generally smaller with less impressed elytral striae. They are typically found in sandy areas along rivers and other water bodies. I recently collected a series of these on dry sand on a riverbank.
