Cordyceps
This is one of the best photos I've seen of cordyceps fungus on a spider. I don't know if anyone actually explained that this was what all that white stuff was.

Not technically Cordyceps...
But a related fungus, Gibellula. More examples here.
Comments are generally left on the first image in a series, which is why you didn't see the explanation.
