Phalacrotophora epeirae

Phalacrotophora epeirae
Marlton, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
November 15, 2009 12:53 pm
First fly
Note how fat its abdomen is, and how long its wings are.

I assume that fluid was pumped from the abdomen to inflate the wings, and then later pulled back to reduce the weight in the now hardened structures. Maybe?!
