Spider
Sand Springs, Osage County, Oklahoma, USA
July 13, 2010
Size: 2mm (3/32") each
This is an image of the nest and web. The adult jumped to the ground and under cover so I didn't get a picture but I did get the spiderlings. From the quick glimpse I got of the adult, her size was somewhere in the range of 10mm-13mm and was black. At first I thought they were jumping spiders but at closer inspection I see abdominal punctures on some. Are these cobweb spiders of some sort possibly?

Jumping Spider
Would be my first guess. I wonder if she'll come back?

....
I don't know. She didn't go far. The limb is a honeysuckle and was about 8"-10" off the ground. I think she left herself a life line so she'll probably be back.

But what are those punctures I see on some of them ?

heart dimples
I can't think of the correct term, but jumping spiders have them. See

Neither can I, just now, but
Neither can I, just now, but they are internal muscle attachment points.
