Pleotomus pallens question
Hi Mike, really nice photo of the Pleotomus. Can you tell me the habitat and time of day or night that you found this firefly? was this the only one you saw or were they locally abundant at this time? Do you see them often? Thank you

 
This spp. is more common in southmost Texas
I don't recall the specifics of this spmn, but it probably came in to MV lights set in an open area, probably near a stream, pond or lake. I don't believe they are common up near the Red River. Contact the folks at UTIC or TAMUIC for more label data.
