I'm thinking Family Miridae (Leaf or Plant bugs) except it has ocelli, curious.

the only sp. recorded in AB is A. scutatus, but 4 more in BC

new judgement
Metapleura visible dorsally, and not Liorhyssus - so it has to be Arhyssus. black-and-pale connexivia discriminate vs. Rhopalus (Brachycarenus) tigrinus.

not Miridae, but . . .
. . . Rhopalidae, genus Stictotarsus (or near).

I've added two close ups of the head.

Shape of the antennae...
rather suggest a member of the family Rhopalidae or Lygaeidae, but I'm no expert in Heteroptera. At any rate, as you pointed out, the presence of ocelli excludes a Miridae.
