Wolf Spider with eggs? - Dolomedes tenebrosus

Wolf Spider with eggs? - Dolomedes tenebrosus
West Tisbury, Dukes County, Massachusetts, USA
July 17, 2010
Size: 1.5-2 inches diameter
This sac was attached to the spider when found in the kitchen at night. 2 days later in a glass cage with soil, the spider dropped the sac and moved away for a little while between photographs but has since moved back to the sac. Eggs?? What should I feed it? It ran away from a small cricket.

Moved
Moved from Fishing Spiders.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. Crickets should be fine. It might just not have wanted to eat right then.

Dolomedes tenebrosus
Commonly called "Fishing Spiders" or "Nursery web Spiders"
