Moved from ID Request.

We think you're safe moving to cingulatus.
If this one is wrong, so are a bunch of those! At least they'll all be together.

There are two species of Araneus in Levi
that look very similar to us, cingulatus and nashoba. But Levi clearly states that nashoba has four pair of red spots. It will be interesting when we see a verified image of nashoba to see how similar they actually are. Apparently the amount of reddish brown on cingulatus is variable. Did you see the recent posting from Rhode Island? Now that one looks different to us!

I did see the recent post from Rhode Island as I was posting this one, the pattern is similar but also quite different. I'm wondering if I should move this to cingulatus or holding bin for green Araneus?

Nice! Compare to
A. cingulatus

I suspected A. cigulatus, but this one has much more red/orange color compared to those already in the guide.

Any idea why? (normal variation? a different species of Araneus?)
