body of it was about 2.5mm or so, the length of the silk it was hanging from was 8mm or so, it was hanging from the bottom of a large leaf

I read a few sources that describe the spiderlings emerging from the top, where the stem attaches. Mine has one or maybe two holes in the side-who knows?
