Mydas Fly. - Mydas clavatus

Mydas Fly. - Mydas clavatus
Loogootee, Martin County, Indiana, USA
July 22, 2003
Size: 1.25''
I caught this mydas fly on a leaf a few years ago. Note the attempt to try and repair the right antenna. can anyone give a name to this specimen?

Note: The middle 4 abdominal segments are orange. I don't know much about mydas flies, but that may help

.
There looks like there is too much orange to be a M. clavatus but maybe this varies? I've never personally seen one with so much orange. Great spread though :D
