Wild Indigo
It's definately a Wild Indigo, not a Horace's or Juvies, although the Columbine is basically inseparable from the Wild Indigo unless you saw it around Columbine

Thanks for a definitive answer, Ray.
It's nice to see some commentary, then a conclusion on a duskywing post.

Skipper
one of the small brown ones.

Duskywing Skipper
One of the Duskywings, maybe Horace's or Juvenal's, or similar.

Thanks
To me it looks close to: Wild Indigo Duskywing (Erynnis baptisiae), but of course I'm no expert.

If unsure,,why not move to genus, i.e. Erynnis?
I have a hunch these will be sorted out someday.

They are all horribly similar
I'm no expert either, but I believe that it is a little late in the year for Juvenal's. My totally amateur vote goes to Horace's.

Yes, they're similar
My field guide's range map shows Horace's barely extends north into NH, if at all. Circumstantial evidence might point to Wild Indigo, but I'm no authority at all.
