I found this critter clinging to my filthy kitchen window, enjoying a snack.
Anybody care to get more specific on predator and/or prey?
Promachus vertebratus, perhaps?

Dark red leg coloration is closer to hinei IMO, but this specimen is in a putative hybrid zone between the two species which complicates things.

The prey is
either Polistes carolina or Polistes perplexus, they're closely related and can only be told apart by their "Cheeks". ^_^ I've never seen a robber attack a wasp before, that's kind of neat! Cool picture!
