Just Hatched - Romalea microptera

Just Hatched - Romalea microptera
Lake County, Florida, USA
April 7, 2005
Just hatched Eastern Lubbers -
We get LOTs of them every year. They start out very red then after a couple of days show more black. These are probably about 2 days old.
As they are young they cluster together on pointy plants - like my daylilies (darn it!)

Amazing!
Just had to say what an amazing photo this is! Great job!
