Eastern Pondhawk - Erythemis simplicicollis - male

Eastern Pondhawk - Erythemis simplicicollis - Male
Ozark Mountains, Searcy County, Arkansas, USA

Immature male Eastern Pondhawk?

No, immature,is the correct word.
It is common to see adult dragonflies referred to as Immature when they have not yet turned their mature adult color. We think of that word being used for the green males and so that is why we were puzzled. But now we see the little green that is still left and why you used it here.

Moved from Dragonflies.

Yes to the rest
but not sure why you would suggest immature.

Thanks for the confirmation
"Immature" is evidently the wrong word. What I was trying to indicate was that I still some green on the body of this dragonfly and, therefore, assumed it to be in the latter stages of what the Guide identifies as "Turning Blue" -- not quite yet to what the Guide calls "Full Adult Blue".
