I recently was given a collection of insects collected by a friend of an acquaintance. Most of the specimens were damaged severely by carpet beetles. This shot might be useful for Matthew Roth's "How to Start a Proper Insect Collection" article to show what will happen if a collection is not cared for properly.

Reminds me I need to fumigate again:-)

They can't eat digital photos.
The lasting and rapidly growing image database on bugguide will be of more use over time than a dozen museums full of mounted insects.
