At MV lamp. Generally iridescent black and white areas depending on flash angle. Seems to match Hodges #0233.

Given that the published range of A. freemani is Nova Scotia to southern Ontario, images from as far south as Tennessee should be supported by dissection and/or DNA. There are several undescribed Antispila species, as well as other described ones that look similar. For instance, here's one I reared from grape that looks pretty similar to me:

A. freemani mines in bunchberry and certain other Cornus species (dogwoods).
