Leafhopper - Amblysellus curtisii

Leafhopper - Amblysellus curtisii
Perry County, Ohio, USA
June 21, 2004
This little bug didn't hang around very long for me to get a good shot.

Cicadellidae
Amblysellus curtisii

Thanks!
Thanks Andy, I've been wondering about that one.

Now that I know the name, I found a similar picture on Insects of Cedar Creek.

Leafhopper
I would say this is a leafhopper because they have spines running the length of their hindlegs. I believe I can see those spines protruding from underneath the abdomen here.
