That is cool. I have no idea what it is but I like it.

According to my friend, the adult wasps make these pots and lay an egg inside along with a grub or other prey for the newly hatched young to eat. I believe Pipe Organ Mud Daubers also store insects and spiders in the mud tubes along with the eggs as well for that same reason.
